Why I’m Not Ready to Give Up on My Life and Join the Nuns (Yet)

I hope this post finds you well. I want to start by saying thank you for your support over the years. Your readership has meant everything to me, and I truly appreciate it. 

Now, I have to confess something: my last post about leaving the world to become a nun was an April Fool's joke! I couldn't resist the opportunity to pull a prank, and I hope you can forgive me for it.

I have always had a thing for nuns. Not in a creepy way, but in a holy way. I have thought about joining them many times since I was a kid, but I never had the guts to do it. I mean, who am I kidding? I’m not cut out for that life. Sometimes I feel like I’m not cut out for any life at all. But hey, I’m pretty happy with my life right now, living alone and avoiding human contact. I think nuns are way more social than me. They have to talk to God and each other and stuff.

I only talk to a homeless cat and listen to the crickets chirping at night. That’s pretty annoying, but you can’t have it all, can you? So I’m not giving up on my life just yet. Maybe next year.

With this in mind, I’m not ready to give up on my solitary life just yet. Maybe next year. On the 1^st of April again.

I was just trying to be funny and a little bit outrageous, and it looks like it paid off, as I got several private emails praising me for this bold move! I never knew you were so keen to see me go!

I hope you didn't take my joke too seriously, and that you can still enjoy my blog as much as you always have. I promise I won't be disappearing into a monastery anytime soon. I'll be here, writing about my thoughts and experiences, and hopefully entertaining you in the process.
